What I was referring to with my original question was bolting the trans. directly to the engine stand like you would an engine block, not using a fixture of some sort. I've heard of some people doing so but I would think that too much stress would be put on the bell housing where it bolts up.


I designed a bracket to bolt to the front bellhousing area but it doesn't work as well on stock transmissions as going to tabs. Going to the front works okay on a full race trans which is super light and doesn't have the tabs.


What does the weight have to do with anything?
