I make all the stock BB pickup either touch the bottom of the oil pans or no more than thickness(not the width tsk) of the dipstick slide under the closest part of the stock pickups like Mopar FSM recommends up Which says the pickup should touch the bottom of the insides of oil pans: scope:
I've never had oil pressure issues with them that way, I've built hundreds of BB Mopar V8 motors that way shruggy
