right dead on about those electronic carbs !
my old man had an 82 K car with the 2.2 and the carb on that thing was ALWAYS acting up !
he finally traded it in for a 1984 caravelle that had the turbo 2.2.
that thing ran surprisingly well ! got good gas mileage as well, providing you kept your foot off the firewall.
