Been thinking, how did it fill up the first time? Are they letting more water thru the dam now?
It is stopping water and storing it from upriver, it has been doing that since they close the bypass around the dam when it was under construction in the late or mid 1930s.
That water use to flow unrestricted into the gulf of Baja CA, Mexico use to use some of that water to grow crops, the U.S. stop that flow a long time ago by storing and using all that water here in the U.S.
The annual snowpack and rainwater from upriver has slowed way down from years ago, hence less water in all of those reservoirs: whiney: Hopefully that will change soon: luck:
