Yesterday I got the call from IRP that I had finished the points season in PRO ET high enough to participate in the 2022 NHRA Division 3 ET Finals.
There were 138 drivers registered in PRO ET and I finished in a tie for 10th!
During the pandemic in 2020 I made the 150 mile tow south down to IRP.
They were one of the only tracks racing at that time and were having national events every 2 weeks!
Last year I decided to run a few bracket races and finish up with the Mopar Nationals.
This year with Route 66 Raceway in Joliet still closed I decided to run the full season at IRP.
I like the schedule and the way they run things and it turned out great especially since I'm pushing toward 69 years old!
This will be my 10th trip to the finals with my GTX and the first time back since 2017!
The GTX just turned 53 on the 6th and still wears it's original paint, stripes and vinyl top!
