I recommended the old fashioned approach, take the old fuel pump + old quick connect to a GOOD parts store,
hope for a patient and willing counterman, and try everything they have until you get the right one.

He did, and finally found the right piece.

Main reason it was difficult:
the fuel pump module where the connect snaps on is 3/8, but the plastic line that connects to the quick connect is 5/16.
So OF COURSE a 5/16 quick connect wouldn't fit. How the hell is anyone supposed to guess they used two different sizes on the same fitting.

This is one of those moments a person might take a step back and question Chrysler Engineering's Infinite Wisdom
(in between swear words).

Looks like he is on the right track now.
