The 270’s were worth 45hp over the 240’s. Other than the intake being slightly different, the engine was the exact same. If you have hood clearance, the 270’s are a no brainer.
On top of that they stated "each head step was a 20 hp gain over the previous one" meaning from a 906 to the TF 270's there is about 105HP difference.
