it feels really strange, no more severe pain in my hip and knee !

Good to hear!! Take it slow but do the physical therapy as prescribed.
I've had both done - right side in 2008 - its chromium cobalt, and the left in 2019 - its ceramic.
The feeling no pain right away is odd, but pleasant.

On a side not, in 2008 they kept me in the hospital 2 days.
2019 was out patient.

In 2008 I was downtown Chicago right on the lakefront. The night after the surgery every 4 hours I'd hear a "Beep" and I hit a button for morphine for the pain.......
A big thunderstorm came through that night and as it blew past the city I could watch the lightning all the way across Lake Michigan......just after I hit the morphine button.
Dude....that was awesome! Like I was at a Pink Floyd concert!! cool

But seriously, wish you a speedy recovery and enjoy being pain free!! beer
It will be much easier to work on these damn cars for sure!
