Another key area it’s come in handy is running an extension cord into the house and keeping the fridge and satellite tv going during power outages.
I also found it “interesting” that my 2nd EU 2000 (a good 10 years newer) seemingly always had carburetor issues. Had to remove and clean it quite often to maintain idle quality. I’m a Stabil fan and use it even though I do run the gen for at least a 1/2 hour every month.
