Typically not a good idea to chrome plate steering or suspension parts unless they can be baked. Doubt you are going to find anyone who has that big of an oven. You might want to consider powder coating or painting.
Great suggestion IMO.
Depending on the usage IE actual comp or just show maybe an appropriately sized Aluminum or SS would be a substitute,
There may be some aluminum based power coats that can be polished as well, might also check with the "spray on Chrome" suppliers and see if anybody is near you.
