Are you using a weight equalizer hitch... they are
almost a must. I hauled my 26' with a 5.9 1500 for
5 years with the EQ hitch and it pulled great, stopped
great(both axles with brakes). With the EQ hitch you
can shift the weight around without upsetting things.
