I saw one of my forged steel 440 cranks broken on a press, it had spun a rod bearing and it was bent . The crank repair company put it in the press and was in the process of straightening it before working onit an BANG, it broke at one of main bearing to rod throws whiney
I did have a customer who had cast crank in a 454 Chevy 1 ton crew cab ranch truck break a crank in SO CA about 60 miles from home and drove it home and around 25 miles back into town to a repair shop, the shop brought me the motor to rebuild is how eI know it was broken and driven that way shruggy
