He's going over kill. All I am doing is getting one of those remote spin on filter adapters, using a long fuel filter that fits it and the pickup tube idea.

My adapter has 4 ports, two in and two out. One for fuel in from the mechanical pump, one for fuel out to the EFI fuel pump, one for fuel return from the regulator into the adapter and the fourth is the line back to the tank for the excess.
