I had tubes of locktite from the 70s (handed down from my grandpa) ! ....

... and I used that on a transmission and flexplate swap in 2010 or so !

Maybe I should have made my Fiberglass to SELF DESTRUCT in a couple of years also !


Doc, same here but I would bet that for mil spec or for any safety documentation like I would hate to have someone use a three decade old bottle of Loctite on the next airplane I fly on and then on top of it forget to safety wire something too. I'd bet the shelf life disclaimer is a CYA for Loctite.

On another note if you want to screw up someone's bottle of liquid Loctite thread locker just open the bottle cap, squeeze all or most of the air out of it and put the bottle cap back on tight while still squeezed...................................it will be hard a wedding night...........Richard in no time. tsk wink
