Came across this 5.7 Hemi dual quad intake and decided to try it out with a couple 600 AFBs/Edelbrocks.

They are the electric choke versions, supposed to be calibrated lean per E's site...All the choke stuff will be gone from the front carb and the vacuum holes drilled/tapped/plugged.

Been considering going with Edelbrock's "4 percent rich" calibration for the manual choke carbs as a starting point for jets and metering rods, just to make sure I'm starting with something halfway safe.

Bad idea? Not sure if I'm overthinking it...normally I'd start with stock jetting but when the mfr admits it's deliberately lean, I'm tempted to try to correct it before I even get started.

Anyone run a similar dual quad setup...what kind of headaches to expect? I can't imagine it being too far off from a 340 or 360....

Think I can get away with 1:1 linkage on a mostly stock 5.7, or will it need to be progressive linkage? It might get a stock 6.1 cam at the most, other than that no mods.

Sorry for the lousy cell phone
picture, it was the best I could do at the time...
