My 418 had two drag weeks on it and had eaten some needle bearings due to a rocker arm and lifter failure in two separate events. I knew about the rocker arm failure in 2017 and replaced the rocker system entirely, the lifter was a surprise on a teardown in 2019.

The attached pics show why I am a believer in these filters which in reality aren't anything special. The oil pump was very torn up inside, the rod bearings were perfect and got re used. That tells me that the filter was doing an amazing job haha. Those rod bearings had two drag weeks on them and probably 4000-5000ish miles?

WOW !!! dang that filter DID do its job !!!!!
