On a FB site dedicated to '69 Road Runners, a guy posts a picture of his, and it looks like one I owned 20 years ago.
I lived in South Jersey at the time and had bought it out of Colorado, where it had been stored indoors forever, zero rust or damage.
It was a sweetheart - R4, white buckets, V21, 383 4-speed HT, that had 22,000-ish miles on it.
I'd sold it to move back West, resume racing, and needing to restore the bank account.
Turns out after talking to the current owner, it's the same car, beautifully kept & appreciated.

Much of the pleasure - relief? - is because I've seen a few of my old cars later, and they'd been beat up or even destroyed in wrecks.
And also because of that thing where they're something like pets or kids, and you want them to live happily ever after.
Mike, who's owned it since 2006, is overjoyed because now he knows more of its history.
