You are assuming he had no "assistance". These guys I suspect are well funded, and aircraft spotters and decoy vehicles, third party strategic break downs, etc are not out of the question.

He's right, if the other records average 108 there's no way anyone did it averaging 150, that would mean he'd be north of 200 for hours at a time lol
I think the 150 number is only a confirmed top speed, somebody in translation conflated that to avg mph, which is kinda obvious to me false, in that 150 avg mph over say 2800 miles is approx 18 hours, not the just under 24 hrs in this story, and why I disregarded it.
My contention still stands.
