I've got several (10 to 15) 440 pump gas motors with those parts in them with no complaints on oil consumption yet shruggy
I ran a 4.300 stroke crank in my pump gas 400 stroker motor with 7.800 long BB Chevy type rods that had a VERY SHORT piston in it and it didn't use oil on the street or at the track boogie
Many interweb rumors have to basis for them, in my opinion shruggy
