I replace the K member and torsion bar cross member isolators with Energy Suspension components.
Factory service manual calls out 50 ft-lb for the cross member isolators.
Where it gets fuzzy is that it appears to call out 75 ft-lb for the torsion bar cross member isolators bolts.
This is the exact verbage:
"Position torsion bar isolator assembly over the hex ends of torsion bars and install two bolts. Torque bolts to 75 ft-lb, and tighten to specified torque".
Does this make any sense? 75 ft-lb seems excessive. Thoughts?
