keep in mind with trim rings they used extensions to make the valve long. The valve itself wasn't long, but an extension was threaded on the valve to extend the valve out far enough outside the ring to help make adding air with a nozzle easier.
While you are at it, if you are setting up wheels and tires for a show car, make sure your tire installer lines up the valve with the Wingfoot on the Goodyear letters on the polyglas tire.
