OHIO, USA	I need to bench test a '69 440 (GTX) ignition coil using a battery, adjustable spark tester (image below) attached to coil high tension lead and grounded to engine block, and some jumper wires.....can it be done this way. Just need to find out if the coil will produce a spark. Do I just connect the coil (+) and (-) to the battery (+) and (-) then break (remove) the ground or do I need a switch do discard the coil or ????? I've tried several different ways and still no spark so I've either done it right by accident and have a bad coil or doing it all wrong. Or it can't be done this way at all and I'm an idiot.......ok so some of you will agree with that last part regardless Thanks in advance. Mike
