Thanks, yes, my car gets oil changes every 3k miles, plugs every 30k miles, changed belt once, still on original battery - yup, still tests good ! Replaced the belt once, tranny serviced once, cooling system serviced couple times, including new rad, cap and t-stat . . . but I am more concerned about the internal wear items like the timing chain (which is fairly long), chain guides (plastic ??) and guide tensioners . . . think that even with regular oil changes, these wear items are just that wear items . . .
