Due to East Lansing being a collage town, most rentals are 1 year - August to August. It will be difficult to find a short term lease. You may be better off negotiating a long term stay at one of the Country Inns and Suites in the area. A potential employer may also provide a bit of relocation assistance and temporary housing $$. Long term stays at Hotels can be very good options booth price and amenities. At least one meal a day (Continental Breakfast), internet access, maybe a pool, maid service. The long term rates typical are lower than day to day rates.
