that was true with all of the big 3 back in the day. Might have had something to do with the union contract clause that stated if the line was shut down due to a parts shortage the workers went home with full pay for the remainder of the day
Maybe it was a warranty replacement axle for one that was defective.
Possibly, but one would think the owner would have noted the one wheel squealer
Dimensionally it appears to be an e body Dana. The open differential and BOM #'s are puzzling. possibly an over the counter replacement as mentioned. I am not 100% sure on the truck pads being on the top in all applications.
Hopefully someone else will chime in, Where's Dr. Diff ??
