Personally I wouldn't own a 3.7 (or a 4.7).

A buddy bought a low mileage 2008 Dakota with a 3.7 with 60K miles on it a little over a year ago.
It seemed to be a good clean low mileage truck, at 66K miles it broke a vale spring and dropped a valve.

I've never heard much good about either the3.7 or the 4.7 engines.

Everyone that I've known that has one has had problems with them.
