Boats don't need fuel fumes coming anywhere near sparks, especially in an enclosed engine compartment. A fire in a boat has a lot worse consequences than a fire under the hood of a car. A car can pull over to the side of the road, a boat doesn't much choice on where to stop. July 19th should be "Drive Like Rockford Day". R.I.P. Jimmie.
