Imo, part of any discussion about how much power will the stock block take should include....... how many passes does it have to last?

Some guys race every week all season and can put on a couple hundred passes+.

Other people go to the track a handful of times a year, and might average 5 passes per outing...... so like 25 passes per year.

Let’s say the block gives up at 125 passes for a particular build.

For the real racer this is only a bit more than a 1/2 season of use.

For the casual test n tuner....... it could be 5 years of use.

The other question is....... how much other stuff, if any, gets trashed when the block fails?
