I run an RPM on my 383 in a 67 Satellite. I like the stock look too, I even painted the manifold so it would look as stock as possible, but Theres no way a complete stock air cleaner would fit. I really wanted to use the Eddy RPM package and already had the cam, so I made due. I took a drop base cleaner, painted it black and found a re-production sticker. Even this setup barely clears. Its not stock, but it has that low-key look and I really like how it turned out. I do think if you run a drop base & put the stock top over the element & it would work, & retain the stock look.
