Hey gang, I'm new to the durango game. I bought a 2001 r/t a while back as a daily and now that its cold I am learning that the defrost door is closed and will not open. All the other heat/air stuff works as it should. Cold air, heat, blower motor works great on all speeds but the door won't open. I know its probably an actuator but there are five of them, I believe. Do any of you know which one controls the defrost door or is there a way to open it manually? I can deal with no heat for now but not being able to see on the way to work is challenging. lol.
I have a factory shop manual on the way from eBay and picked up a Chiltons book at auto zone but it doesnt cover the issue. Also, no YouTube videos for an 01 that I can find. just trying to find out what I'm getting myself into. I know the earlier first gens are vacuum operated but mine is all electronically controlled.
