The Indy 400-2 On my 500" (499) low deck 400 block seemed to have a bit of core shift. I port matched it pretty deep to the Victor MW heads.
On the rockers, not sure? do the heads flow that much more at the higher lift to be worth it?
I have the T&D 1.6 rockers on the 500" engine, 0.726" Lift @ 1.6:1 ratio with the Comp HXL lobes.
Seems like too much for the exhaust side. I'd like to switch the exhaust lobe to the exhaust specific HXX lobe, and maybe run a 1.5:1 exhaust rocker to reduce the valve train stress.
I think trying to open the exhaust valve quickly against both spring and chamber pressure may have been part of me breaking the rocker stands.
I didn't have issues with the stands between the intake valves, but both center stands, and one shaft stud on the end of the shaft had broken on the original set of heads (along time ago.)
