Hello everyone.
First of all, I’m basically brand new to this forum after years of reading it. First post. If this is the wrong section, my apologies.

My Father and I recently purchased a 1965 Coronet 500. It was sold by the widow of a gentleman who built it over 5 years, and she did not provide much in the way of receipts or documentation with the vehicle. I’m hoping someone from Michigan is familiar with the car and can give me some info about it.

It’s a 1965 Coronet 500, which was made into a street legal half A990 clone, half race car, if that makes sense. I know the car was run fairly often at Martin, MI,
at US 131 Motorsports Park, as the car still wears several “class winner” stickers.

The gentleman who built the car over 5 years lived near Kalamazoo, MI. I do have his name, but I don’t know if I should post it publicly.

The car has a 472 Hemi crate engine which had a cam change and solid lifters added, but we aren’t sure what else was done to the engine, if anything. That’s mainly what I’m hoping to find.

The car was featured in Mopar Action several years ago (2014 I believe), if that helps.

I realize this is a long shot, but, if anyone has info on the car, please let me know. And to clarify, what I’m really looking for is engine info. Cam, lifters, etc.
Thanks in advance.
