They've said a lot of it is because people are or were doing all sorts of projects while they were stuck at home.
Then when you think of it less employees at the mills and doing the work for the same reasons, the trucking issues, the border issues etc... and how much of the "new" wood has hit the market yet. When I was at home depot the other day some racks of wood didn't even have prices on them.
I bought a new tin shed, I usually wait on buying materials until I need it to avoid the warping problem. I also planned on building a loft over my cars. Guess I'll look at other alternatives.
