I also sandblasted the 8 3/4 sanded/ polished it and had it triple plated. It is a real sight if I ever build this car it is going to be 70's car show style. We do not get snow here and would be kept inside. I have almost everything that is done that goes in or on the body. Just needs body sheet metal done. All in bags and boxes every place I could find to stick them. Even the seat covers are on and in 100-gallon bags for storage.
If I ever abandon the project be a hard sell for someone else to want that style of parts. For now, just banging away at it slowly as that is the part I like.
I have some Herniated Disc in my neck and back so elapsed time doing things like this for me is long. I work some and then wait. really sporadically done. I am not 25 years old anymore lol.
I already did the heads year or 2 back and posted them,'
Today, I started cutting down another 6 pack intake that was pro-ported by the same shop that did the Edelbrock Heads. It is slow going even broke the mandrel for the sandpaper rolls I have 500 of the rolls so I got that covered.
I did what I normally do, finished one spot 100% so that it gives inspiration as it starts to feel like it is just too much while doing it.
There are hardly any flat spots so it is die grinder city. And the compressor makes noise. My wife is working from home so no cheapo 60-gallon vertical from 1993 banging away. .I would love a new Ingersoll Rand 5HP 80 Gallon Vertical Air Compressor. But can not till this old Cambell Hausfeld dies kinda like the old B&S motors they last forever. They do not make them that good anymore. I will do a few hours here and there as my health permits and will not care if it takes months.
