gtx6970 Too Many Posts Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 21,427 It's a dry heat	The only time you NEED to chop the trans input shaft off is if the crank is not drilled deep enough for a pilot bushing. IF thats the case you then have NO other option than a roller bearing in the back of the crank
