No matter how good you are, somebody can lay a package on you and your day is over.
That said, in your above scenario, i cant think of anybody who, when they pulled into the track and it paid 50k to win and 10 to runnerup wouldnt take the 10 k and go hell yea, i won 10 k.
I know if i got to the final in that scenario and just had the “ feel” that today is my day, car is running the number, feel real comfy on the tree, that i would want the whole 50k.
Maybe you got lucky and didnt really get that “feel” and might have a different take and want to split
Guess i can see it both ways....me personally, i am not some hitter.. but i have had my days where i was hot, and like the chances over anybody. Those days are FAR and few between, but they happen..lol
