Before applying your first coat of paint, go around and cover any sharp edges and body work/primer of a different color with a fog coat . Don't try to spray it on wet right out of the gate. May need to do that twice in order to cover with some paints. Once you have that down and give it a chance to tack it should solve the problem you are having.
