As OP, I took out the first plug, checked the gap, visually couldn't see why it needed replacing, re installed it, might return the 4 Autolights, which were cheap, and new, and don't look as nice as the original NGK's.

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.
