If you want/need a finish as-per-oem, then paint is only option. That's what factory used.
I've never done any wrinkle powder that resembles factory.
Although it's much more durable. the "wrinkle" in it is not as "large-bold" as any paint.



I agree. I found that different paint/heat processes can replicate factory finishes. I've tried spraying a cold part and placing in in the sun (calm wind day), sprayed parts laying in the sun to heat and putting back into the sun, spraying cold parts (and pre-heated) and heating with heat lamps, and then also tried oven heating. Each process developed a different texture and I think each person should experiment with small pieces of sheet metal with different processes and paint film thickness to achieve the texture they are looking for.
