I have .200" gap without bottoming the throttle spring.

Years ago I installed a Transgo tf 1 kit and it always needed to many engine rpm to shift at light throttle application.

No matter how I adjusted the throttle pressure linkage or even changing back to the stock governor didn't change 2800 rpm into 2nd

Do you think it would be wise to go back to the original spring (which is blue) that's behind the throttle pressure plunger? I'm sure I don't have the sleeve backwards . also I used the kits yellow line pressure spring with that spring backed up all the way to the cage .No gap or anyway to reduce line pressure.
