It begs the question if the fan speed was wrong all along, why a problem now all of a sudden? The fan itself is clean, no crud build up on the blades?

Ahhh. I read it wrong. For some reason I thought they changed the pulley size to speed it up or does it have a split pulley like a snowmobile clutch that can be adjusted?
