i'm with dave on the powermaster stuff. i have not had luck with their products as well, although this has been repairing wiring issues for others.
also, every single one wire alternator i have been around doesn't charge worth a darn below 15-1800 rpm. if you have belt issues, they are even worse.
another thing to think about, is the "start up amps" for your electric cooling system can be quite a bit higher than the running amp draw, causing you to need a higher than 35 amp output on your alternator.
in my opinion [only], a 90 amp denso would be the starting point.
my opinion, your horsepower will vary.
