I seem to recall the “RT” designation from BG meaning “reaction time”, which meant it was a drag carb.
I don’t recall what the TE suffix was though.

We had a customer who bought one of their high end “pro stock” type prepped 9377’s.

It was $1400 in about 1997.
It had very little actual modifications done to it........ which I discovered after completely taking it apart(boosters out, idle tubes removed, etc)....... after the motor it was on torched 3 pistons.

After correcting the manufacturing defects(which were the cause of the burned pistons), it ran okay........ but not really much different than an ootb 9377 that had been properly tuned.

They did make the venturi in the main body very shiny though.
