I run the Holley 108-51 that has extensions that go out to the ends of the bowls, in the same vein as the previously mentioned GM gasket but more expensive, I'm sure. I put it on earlier this year after I had annoying fuel boil problems on an 80* early spring day, while we were still on winter blend fuel.

We had a 10 day stretch of high 90s-low 100s days this summer. I drove my Barracuda to work most of those days, soaking up the AC. Coolant got a needle's width above 200 in city traffic, but no flooding from fuel boil after shut down and no start problems 20 minutes after shutdown. It is either a cheap heat shield or an expensive base gasket though, I'm not sure which.
