I just bought a 2012 Jeep Rubicon with the 3.6 and 72,000 miles. Bone stock, only scheduled maintenance performed so the plugs are original.
I will be replacing the plugs soon. This is an engine that requires the intake plenum to be removed for the drivers side plugs so I am considering replacing all the coil packs.

Reliability is the main concern, the only concern really, as I sometimes wheel deep in the mountains, alone.

1) would you replace the coil packs with the idea you are reducing the chances of an ignition problem or leave them be, if it ain’t broke....?

2) if you were to replace, would you stick with stock Mopar (Not sure who actually makes them) or a brand such as Bosch, Delphi, NGK etc.

I know there are performance brands out there now like RIpp and MSD but I’m unsure about their reliability...(I’m very hesitant on those).

I am covering other general break-down issues as best I can, this is just about replacing the coil packs while I’m in there...yea or nay?
