Thanks guys
- Here's an update and hopefully something useful for you all to take away..

So I found a longer 21-3/4" cable with OEM ends that would mount properly at the gas pedal and at the carburetor..
I looked at the product photos closely, it all looked good, and went ahead and ordered it.

I woke up the next morning and canceled the order.

Why?

Because what I realized as I was falling asleep (cuz, who doesn't think about their Mopars last thing before falling asleep, right?) was that the problem isn't the overall length of the cable. The problem was with the length of cable that sticks out of the metal-sleeved end. That end reaches from the manifold bracket to the mounting pin at the carburetor. That's what was too short. Not the overall length. What I'm saying is, you can have as long a cable as you want, but the amount of cable coming out of that metal-sleeved end has to be enough to reach the distance from the throttle cable bracket to the carburetor.

Instead of the longer cable, I fabricated a length of steel plate that extended by 1-1/2" the original length of cable that comes out of the metal-sleeved end to reach from the manifold bracket to the carburetor pin.

Cheers,
- Art
