Not to discount the quality of the FD-478, but what are other guys using for a coil( Mallory, Accel,...???). I have a Blaster 2 with a MSD 6-AL, and
at 3/4 track it seems to stutter or breakup intermittently, also the Tach has been wacky intermittently. any advice would be appreciated.
Also how would you mount the fd-478. I had this happen and it was the tach causing it. Took forever to find it but got lucky one day and saw the tach acting weird. No problem in 6 years since replacing it. Easy test just disconnect the tach wire on the msd box and see if it goes away. I've seen this also on a friend's Camaro. Intermittent misfire and it was the tachometer (5" Autogage) causing it. Unplugged it from the MSD box and no more problem.
