I have read numerous places about the factory air cleaner being very restrictive and the arguments about cold air intakes vs. open air elements. Being as I had one available for less than $10, I thought I would give it a try. up Very noticeable seat-of-the-pants difference but as I said, no idea about the effect on fuel mileage since the new hasn't worn off yet. wink
If you recall, most musclecars used under hood air and did OK with it. grin
BTW, I have a factory air cleaner assy. from my '06 2500 Cummins if you really want it. I installed a BHAF just for grins (actually picked up 1 mpg) but traded the truck for the wife's first Challenger before I could see how many miles the filter would go between changes. boogie
