buying new? pick a combo from 440 source and go, or get the crank and add all the other parts you want..
i like how the 470 looks, lots of torque from this one..

I already have a 440 crank with the mains cut to B size, it might need just a bit of polishing to use. That has had me looking at all the 451 combos and comparing torque curves. Looking at that 470 above ^, it has me thinking I should just build a 470 and use some nice RPM/sidewinder/ProMaxx heads with minimal porting. I want some cruiser gears...

With the 451, I was going to use a Mahle 1.35ch piston if the block allowed me to, maybe the piston will be .005 out of the hole. The 78cc chamber of Trick Flow heads looks better for the compression ratio if that is the combo. I'm worried this combo will put the torque a little high for a street cruiser.

I still don't know what I want to build, finishing a garage at the moment.

I'm going to point out that AndyF put this spreadsheet up and it's pretty useful for looking at piston choices..
