The car will be quicker w/ more air pressure and tightening up the rear shocks. I'd try around 17 psi to start and go up from there. I run 20 psi, but you may not need that much.
My car always ran good w/ the rear shocks set on 9, full stiff (Rancho 9 ways). I use the bottom hole w/ no preload.

What front shock is on the car???????
